Set in the peaceful countryside lies the stunning property of Kirkfield Mains.

We offer four star luxury accommodation where attention to detail is everything!!!

The property was originally a byre/barn for cattle and pigs and was converted to a house in the early 90’s. We have lived here since July 2004 & since then we have extensively refurbished the property.

The house occupies a hilltop location surrounded by pasture farmland & offers stunning views along the entire length of the picturesque Clyde valley, with Glasgow clearly visible in the far distance. On clearer days the snowcapped mountainous backdrop to Glasgow which forms the gateway to the highlands can be seen, with Ben Lomond clearly visible. Throughout the year we never tire of the stunning sunsets, especially in the long summer evenings.

Our luxurious bed and breakfast is only 5 minutes from Lanark, the four star World Heritage visitor attraction of New Lanark, Lanark Loch, stunning country walks, cycle routes, golfing and fishing. The nature trail alongside the Falls of Clyde is particularly dramatic. Lanark itself has lovely shops, restaurants and bars. So there is something for everyone.

Due to the abundance of excellent restaurants in Lanark we do not provide evening meals.

Our bed and breakfast is perfectly situated for those attending a wedding at the Popinjay, Cartland Bridge and the New Lanark Mill hotel's. Why not enjoy the wedding and then retire to our tranquil b&b.

Fishing permits can be bought at the tourist information centre and they will cost approx £9.00 per day. The fishing in the River Clyde is excellent and the scenery will take your breath away. There are plenty of attractions available to you whilst staying at Kirkfield Mains. Why not visit our "thing's to do" page to find out more details.

For those of you who would like to would like to experience some of our wonderful scenery on a bicycle, they are available to hire. So please ask Julie for more details.

All rooms have been extensively refurbished and benefit from double glazing and central heating. There is ample private parking. All rooms are located on the ground floor so there is no need to worry about stairs. As well as this, guests will benefit from having their own private entrance to the bed & breakfast accommodation.
